Frequently Asked questions

Everything you need to know about our Terminal 5 transfer service.

QHow much is a transfer from Southampton Cruise Port to Heathrow Airport?

A saloon is £160, an estate £186, an MPV for four £210, a six-seater MPV £294 and an eight-seater £327. Slightly less than the outbound direction because the road distance differs a little. Fixed when you book, per vehicle rather than per person.

QHow long does it take from Southampton to Heathrow?

About 2 hours 15 minutes for the 108 km. Disembarkation rarely runs to plan, so tell us your ship and we will set the pickup against your actual disembarkation slot rather than a guess.

QWhat time should I book for my flight home?

Allow the 2 hours 15 minutes of driving plus your airline’s check-in window — for a long-haul departure that usually means leaving the port at least five hours before the flight. If disembarkation is slow the driver waits; if you are unsure, give us the flight number when booking and we will advise on the pickup time.

QWill the driver meet me at the cruise terminal?

Yes, at the terminal you disembark at — City (Berth 101), Ocean (46/47), QEII (38/39), Mayflower (106) or Horizon (102). Tell us the ship and berth when booking. Your driver waits with a name board and helps with the luggage.

QCan you take a large group with cruise luggage?

Yes. Cruise cases are bulkier than airport cases, and the limit that catches people out is luggage rather than seats: the eight-seater takes 8 passengers but 7 large cases. If your cases outnumber that, book the 12-seater minibus. Tell us the case count when booking and we will size it properly.

QWhat if my ship arrives late into Southampton?

Tell us and we move the pickup, at no extra charge. Ships are held up by weather and by port traffic and it is not something you control. We would far rather adjust the booking than have you standing on the quay.

QDo you cover other airports and London hotels from Southampton?

Yes — Gatwick, Stansted, Luton and London City, and any London hotel or address. Heathrow is the most common by a distance, but the price is fixed for whichever destination you give us.

QCan I add a stop at Windsor Castle or Stonehenge on the way?

Yes, and it is a popular way to spend a day between the ship and an evening flight. Windsor Castle is on the route and a transfer including four hours there is £424 in a saloon, with your luggage locked in the vehicle. Waiting time is charged at a fixed rate shown before you book, never a meter.

QCan you provide child seats for a cruise transfer?

Yes. Child seats are free in the MPV, 7-seater, 8-seater. An Estate takes them at £10 per seat. A Saloon or Executive car cannot take a child seat at all, so choose an estate or larger if you need one. Tell us the children's ages when you book and the seats are fitted before we collect you.
