FAQ

Do you allow dogs in your airport transfers?+

Yes — well-behaved dogs are welcome in any vehicle class. Just mention "travelling with a dog" at booking with the dog's size (small / medium / large / extra-large) so we can match a driver and vehicle. Estates and MPVs are typically best for larger dogs.

Is there an extra charge for a dog?+

No — dogs travel free in any vehicle. We don't charge a per-pet fee, per-mile pet surcharge, or cleaning fee for a clean, dry, behaved dog. (We reserve the right to charge for excessive shedding cleanup, but it almost never comes up in practice.)

What about pet carriers / crates / harnesses?+

Under UK Highway Code rule 57, dogs must be suitably restrained in a moving vehicle — a seat belt harness, pet carrier, dog crate or guard behind the rear seats. Most owners bring their own carrier; the driver helps load and secure it. We don't supply UK-approved pet carriers ourselves.

Are service dogs / guide dogs / assistance dogs accommodated?+

Always — assistance dogs are accommodated under UK Equality Act 2010 with no surcharge, no restriction, and no advance booking requirement. The driver will not refuse a journey because of an assistance dog.

Which vehicle is best for a large dog (Labrador, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd)?+

Estate (£20–30 above saloon, has a single-level boot perfect for a crated large dog) or MPV-7 (boot floor + folding rear seats, fits a giant breed in a travel crate). Specifically request "estate or MPV-7 for a large dog" at booking.

Can the driver stop for a comfort break on a long journey?+

Yes — for cruise-port runs (Heathrow → Southampton, Dover) or other 1h+ journeys, the driver can stop at a service-area dog-friendly lay-by for 5–10 minutes free. Just ask at booking.

What about dogs travelling to a cruise port for a pet-friendly cruise?+

Several lines from Southampton and Dover allow pets in dedicated kennels (Cunard QM2 famously). We deliver to the assigned terminal with the dog and luggage; mention the cruise line and ship at booking.

What if my dog gets carsick?+

Bring a vet-approved anti-nausea medication if known to be an issue, water in a non-spill bowl, and a towel for the seat. Tell us at booking and the driver will go gently and avoid sharp turns where possible. We don't charge cleanup fees for the occasional accident.
